Pizza loves all harvest veggies & some fruits too.  Harvest Hero Reuben shared his version.  We’ve topped our pizza w/ three different flavor combos.  Make your pizzas round & cook them on a pizza stone, or press them into a parchment lined baking sheet

  • Your favorite pizza dough
  • Your favorite toppings: we recommend garlic & onion sauteed with Harvest mixed greens or a sweet pepper & zucchini sautee
  • Tomatoes
  • Dubliner cheese

Prepare the dough and let it rise while you make the toppings.  Great tip from Reuben: add flavorings to the dough.  I added minced onion, garlic, rosemary & flax seeds.

I always make extra toppings for use as side dishes or in soup later.  Preheat the oven to 425.  Prepare the dough.  I usually give the dough a 10 min pre cook in the oven before I top it w/ so many veggies.  Load on the veggies, cheeses & toppings and return to the oven for another 15 to 25 mins or until crust is done & cheeses are golden.  I put the greens over the entire pizza & divided the other toppings in thirds.

Cold pizza is a great breakfast.  Pizza is a great foil for learning to love unfamiliar vegetables.  Gooey cheesy goodness entices the taste buds to new flavors.
